WHY TRAIN HITTING & THROWING IF YOU ARE IGNORING STRENGTH?

Develop the power behind every swing and every throw.

Most facilities teach hitting or pitching—we develop the complete athlete.

Through our HLP Hitting System, Ground Up Throwing System, and Functional Strength System (FSS), athletes learn to generate more power and move more efficiently.

By training all three together, our athletes hit harder, throw harder, and get stronger.

That's the Alpha Athletics difference.

Testimonials

Baseball is not just a seasonal sport for our son, Vincent—it’s a primary focus. He participates in travel ball, spring and fall ball, and both out-of-state and statewide summer and winter tournaments.

When we were moving to El Dorado Hills, I needed to find a training facility for Vincent, who is 9 years old. Since he’s not a seasonal player, it was extremely important to find a place we could trust for year-round development—one that truly offers the full package: pitching, hitting, infield, catching, and strength & conditioning, with the flexibility to schedule classes around our busy lives.

We visited several facilities and allowed Vincent to try out trial classes, including one at Alpha. This was a decision that needed to feel right—not only for me as a parent but for Vincent as well.

Choosing Alpha has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for Vincent’s development. He started training there in April 2025, spending 2–3 hours a day, six days a week at the facility throughout spring and summer—all while continuing to play baseball and attend school in Carmichael, CA. The growth we’ve seen in his confidence, work ethic, and mindset has been just as remarkable as his on-field improvement.

I highly recommend Alpha. The coaches are exceptional and genuinely care about these kids and their growth, both on and off the field. We hope Alpha will continue to be Vincent’s home facility for many years to come.

We love Alpha! We began our journey a year ago before they rebranded and couldn't wait to get our son in the new facility full time. The baseball development is top notch. Coaches are very knowledgable, supportive, fun, and motivating. They bring out the very best in each child. Coaches are firm, but fair and age appropriate. As a veteran educator, I am impressed with their level of expertise and how they manage their classes. We are also part of the Alpha travel ball community, and are enjoying seeing our son grow in the needed areas of the sport. Coaches use data driven results, they will positively assess your child in areas of growth to develop skills. We hope to continue our journey with Alpha for many seasons ahead! Thank you for giving our son a love of the sport!

We have been with Alpha for over 1 year and the results show. The reality of this game is how difficult it is to overcome its simplicity. I was aware of my children's potential and this facility has unlocked the physical and mental performance of there game. This isn't the old school way, its the evolved way. Everyday the kids went and put in the work. They have failed and they have succeeded. Win or lose its back to the lab. This is why Alpha is going to be around for a long time.
Be about the business and stay locked it for your kids.🤩

FAQs

Got Questions? Find Answers About Joining, Training, and More!

What does the assessment entail?

We evaluate your athlete's hitting, throwing, strength, and mobility/flexibility to identify both strengths and areas for improvement. Using the results, we create a personalized development roadmap designed to increase bat speed, exit velocity, throwing velocity, strength, power, and overall athletic performance while reducing limitations that may be holding them back.

How often should my athlete train?

For best results, we recommend training 3–5 times per week. With our unlimited model, athletes can attend as often as their schedule allows.

What does “unlimited” actually mean?

Unlimited training for one flat monthly fee—up to 2 skill classes per day plus daily strength & performance. No per-class fees or restrictions.

What are the qualifications of your coaches?

Our coaches are former professional and collegiate players with over 20 years of experience training athletes, including Bryan Schmidt (University of Nebraska, San Diego Padres organization). Our strength coaches are NESTA-certified in strength, speed, and quickness, and every session follows a structured system to deliver consistent, measurable results.

What age groups do you work with?

We train baseball and softball athletes ages 8 to adult. Programs are structured and grouped appropriately to ensure athletes are challenged and supported at their level.

How do you track progress?

We measure exit velocity (hitting) and throwing velocity (pitching) so you can see real, objective improvement—not just guess - each athlete has access to an individualized profile inside an app to show you that progress!

Do I need to book classes in advance?

Yes. All sessions are scheduled through our app to ensure quality coaching and proper group sizes. Classes open for RSVP 7 days in advance at the exact class time (for example, a Tuesday at 4:00pm class becomes available the Tuesday before at 4:00pm). We recommend booking early since classes can fill up.

What if my athlete plays on a team?

Perfect—our program is designed to complement team practices, not replace them. We focus on development so athletes perform better in games.
